About Sue

Susan de Vries, 44, wife and mother of three, lost her five-year battle with breast cancer in 2006. Called “a once-in-a-lifetime person,” Sue saw her disease as an opportunity to provide comfort and support to others. Beautiful, courageous and determined, she accomplished her dream of creating a community of caring and understanding for those whose lives were also touched by cancer. Following her death, loving friends established the Sue de Vries Cancer Foundation in support of The Wellness Center – Sue’s Circle of Hope in Salem, Massachusetts – a lasting legacy reflecting her indomitable spirit.
